Court Services

Buena Vista’s court system serves citizens from within the BV Municipal Building, located at 2309 Sycamore Avenue.

Our general district court handles traffic violations, hears minor cases, and conducts preliminary hearings for more serious criminal cases and felonies. Our circuit court – a part of the 25th Judicial Circuit of Virginia – is our trial court of general jurisdiction, with authority to hear a range of civil and criminal cases.
