Treasurer
The Treasurer’s Office is responsible for the receipt, collection, safekeeping, and proper accounting of all City revenues, as well as the disbursement of those funds in accordance with applicable laws and policies. This includes the collection of local taxes, fees, and other revenues, as well as managing and maintaining accurate financial records for the City.
The Treasurer is a constitutional officer, elected by the citizens of Buena Vista to serve a four-year term.
Our office is committed to providing professional, efficient, and courteous service while ensuring the fiscal integrity of the City.
Payment Methods & Information
At this time, the Treasurer’s Office does not accept credit or debit card payments (Yet! Coming 2026). Payments may be made in person during regular business hours or submitted using the convenient options below.
We currently accept the following forms of payment:
- Cash
- Check (made payable to “City of Buena Vista”)
- Money order
For your convenience:
- A drive-thru window is available at the rear of the building
- An after-hours drop box is also available for payments outside of business hours
