Finance
The Finance Department is responsible for overseeing the financial operations of the City of Buena Vista. This includes establishing and maintaining effective controls over the City’s financial activities, accurate and timely financial information, and support of the City’s overall fiscal management.
The Finance Department provides services that include the following:
- Processing accounts payable
- Miscellaneous billing and receivables
- Maintaining a fund accounting system
- Providing timely financial reports for management purposes
- Conducting financial analysis
- Prepare annual audit report
- Development of the City budget
- Debt issuance and management
- Capital asset monitoring
- Grant administration and reporting
- Centralized purchasing and procurement functions
- Risk management
