Glen Maury Park
Glen Maury Park is Buena Vista’s 315-acre playground, providing miles of hiking and biking trails, an Olympic-sized pool, two campgrounds, as well as several pavilions where residents and tourists alike make the natural choice for enjoying life. Glen Maury Park hosts a variety of events each year—music from old time to classical, beach music to bluegrass, and gospel to rock n ’ roll. Around town, you’ll find eateries and service businesses ready to provide what you need — all close at hand.

Kayak, inner tube, and bike rentals
Rentals are available depending on availability and season.
Rental rates:
Kayaks: Half-day (4 hours) $35, Full day $45
Bicycles: Full day $40
Inner tubes ?????????
All rentals require a credit card for a deposit.
Weight limit for kayaks: 300 lbs.
Minimum age for river trips: 10 years old when accompanied by an adult.
Solo kayakers must be 16 years or older.
Anyone renting kayaks or inner tubes must be able to swim.
Life preservers are mandatory.

Hiking
Glen Maury Park features miles of hiking trails through woods, campgrounds, and by the river. Hikers can see great blue herons, belted kingfishers, pileated woodpeckers, and other birds. Views of the river and city abound. Difficulty levels range from easy to moderate, and you can create loops by combining multiple connected trails.
